This article covers the writer’s personal experiences and reflection on personal growth through pictures of Berkeley’s campus. They found themselves taking their film camera on walks through campus. The writer does not only reflect on what they photograph but the process of taking their photographs. It gives the readers a “why”. The writer of this article did not take these pictures to post them, they took them for themselves to cherish forever.

Photo essays are a part of journalism that people forget about. It’s true, a picture is worth a thousand words and as shown in the blog the fact that these photos are created through film make it just that much better. Even though this article has few words, it impacts the readers nonetheless.
